PVC the main components of pipe fittings are polyvinyl chloride, other components are used to enhance their heat resistance, toughness and ductility. PEX is a flexible tubular piping system that can be connected to compression without glue or heat, metal or plastic insertion fittings or other mechanical methods. PEX flexibility simplifies the operation of water supply lines throughout the house. A simpler installation process reduces labor when replacing PVC piping fittings to install new sanitary ware. so how to connect PEX to it? Let's talk about it.

How to connect PEX to PVC pipe fittings?
The main component of PVC pipe fittings is polyvinyl chloride, and other components are used to enhance its heat resistance, toughness and ductility. It is very popular among everyone and are very popular and widely used. PVC is a synthetic material that is popular in today's world and ranks second in the world in the use of synthetic materials. PVC pipe fittings have strong corrosion resistance, easy bonding, low price and hard texture. Pipes are used for drainage, wastewater, chemicals, heating liquids and coolants, food, ultra-pure liquids, mud, gas, compressed air and vacuum systems.
PEX pipe, also known as cross-linked polyethylene pipe, is made of polyethylene material, and the linear molecular structure of polyethylene is transformed into a three-dimensional network structure through physical and chemical methods, thereby improving the performance of polyethylene. The main raw material of PEX pipe is HDPE, as well as initiators, cross-linking agents, catalysts and other additives. If there are special requirements, other modifiers can be added. PEX is a relatively new pipe product that is increasingly popular and incorporated into building codes for new and old buildings. PEX is a flexible tubular piping system that is connected to compression, metal or plastic insert fittings or other mechanical methods that do not require glue or heat.
Use a hacksaw to cut past areas and remove any damage from the end of the PVC pipe. Slide the rounded edge of the semi-circular document along the inside of the cut PVC until all loose documents have been removed.
Apply a uniform PVC primer to the outside of the PVC cutting tube and to the inside of the externally threaded PVC joint. Apply each primed surface with PVC glue. Slide these parts together while twisting the PVC fittings back and forth. Hold the pieces together for 30 to 45 seconds.
Wrap the pipe sealing tape around the external threads of the PVC fitting. Make sure that one layer of material covers all the fitting threads.
Align the threads of the internally threaded brass PEX adapter with the external threads of the PVC fitting. Turn the connector clockwise by hand until the PVC is tightened. Use a wrench to turn the brass fitting a half turn to lock it in place.
Slide the crimp ring to one end of the PEX tube. Push the end of the pipe to the end of the installed brass fitting.
Place the crimp ring 1/8 inch from the end of the pipe. Place the jaws of the PEX crimping tool on the raised portion of the crimp ring. Squeeze the handles together and secure the PEX tube to the brass fitting.
PEX and PVC pipe fittings each have their own advantages, and they can be combined to achieve better results. So how do you connect PEX to PVC pipe fittings? I hope this article is helpful to you.
