PVC pipe is known for their rigidity, toughness and ductility. They are widely used in various fields such as residential and water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation and chemical transport. One of the shortcomings of PVC is that the operating temperature can't be higher than 45 degrees Celsius. If a long time under high temperature, PVC material will become soft, loss of rigidity, easy to deformation.
As with all thermoplastic materials, PVC leads to softness by heating. When the PVC pipe absorbs enough heat, it can be bent. This method has been widely used in garden irrigation.
On the use of time do not care about the user, my way to bend PVC pipe is good, you can save a fee (pipe system and shunt, generally need to use PVC pipe fittings, such as PVC 90 degree elbow, PVC 45 degree elbow). If you are concerned about the service life, it is not recommended to use this method. Because bending the pipe will affect the strength and durability of the pipeline.
How to bend PVC pipe
1.Tape one end closed.
2.Fill pipe with sand past desired bending point.
3.Fill with sand eliminates kinks.
4.Heat pipe using a hair dryer, or a heat gun.
5.Allow to cool at desired angle. Then dump out sand.
